About the Program
I provide comprehensive structured English language instruction with a strong focus on reading and writing development, and building conversational skills. I also provide Orton-Gillingham-aligned reading instruction and reading comprehension lessons for struggling readers.

Each session is tailored to the student’s developmental level and specific learning goals while maintaining consistent structure and measurable progress. I work with students at their learning pace until they achieve mastery of a particular skill.
At the end of each month, I provide a brief progress report to review a student's growth.
About Miss A + My Teaching Style
Hello, my name is Audria Linton🙂. I’m an M.Ed. in TESOL graduate and the founder of Miss A’s English Academy, where I offer online and in-person English tutoring. I have over 6 years of private tutoring experience, along with experience teaching and supporting children, teens, and adults in both local and international school settings. My lessons support students in all four areas of English: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I also help students build strong Academic English skills, including text analysis, critical thinking, vocabulary development, and essay writing in genres such as persuasive, informational, reflective, and narrative writing. In addition, I have over 300 hours of Orton-Gillingham-based work experience supporting struggling and neurodivergent readers, including students with dyslexia. Through a structured literacy and multisensory approach, I help students strengthen decoding, fluency, comprehension, and confidence. Every student receives a personalized learning plan based on their needs, goals, and current skill level. My teaching style is patient, creative, interactive, and mastery-based, meaning students are supported step by step until they truly understand and can apply what they are learning. Most importantly, I care deeply about my students as people first. My goal is to help each learner feel capable, encouraged, and confident as they grow in their English skills. My Qualifications
B.A. in English Literature
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English, providing me with a strong foundation in and command of the English language and literature. I have also completed two years of teacher education, including a supervised practicum, which further strengthened my skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and effective teaching practices.
TESOL Certificate
I hold a Fundamentals of English Language Teaching (TESOL) certificate, which provides specialized training in teaching English to multilingual (English) learners and supporting students who need additional guidance in reading, writing, and academic language development.
M.Ed. in TESOL
With an M.Ed. in TESOL, my graduate studies have deepened my expertise in language education, structured literacy, and evidence-based reading and writing instruction. This training strengthened my ability to support English learners and struggling readers through targeted instruction and thoughtful assessment of student progress.
Language Proficiency
English - Native English speaker.
Korean - I can speak and read Korean, which helps with communication with Korean-speaking parents and students and with explaining certain language concepts more clearly. Sometimes, it's just easier to hear it in your first language.
